Jog-A-Thon proceeds go to impactful programs

The Jog-A-Thon is the first of the three annual school-sponsored fundraisers. Similar to last year, the proceeds from this year’s event will benefit two programs that impact all students – science and the library. Funds raised during the Jog-A-Thon are critical to these two departments.  A successful event means that Dr. Hamby can continue to host Science Saturday. Mrs. McCollum can keep the library catalog stocked with up-to-date materials for our voracious readers. Mrs. McBride and Mrs. Powell have the freedom to purchase supplies to use each week with our smallest budding scientists in Early Childhood and Early Primary. As the school looks to expand the physical space and programming for science and library classrooms, the support of the Jog-A-Thon becomes even more critical.

Net Income was $12,814.57
Library         $6,407.29
Science         $5,242.32
Early Childhood Science     $582.48
Early Primary Science      $582.48

This year our Funding the Future campaign goes straight to the heart of our mission. Instead of choosing a special project to support, we realigned our budget to enable us to give every University School teacher a much-needed and long-overdue salary increase.

Our 2019-2020 Funding the Future campaign is more important this year, than ever before and every Funding the Future gift is important. No matter how big or how small, each contribution will make 2019-2020 the best year for the students and teachers at University School.
